Duelle ("we," "our," or "us") is a pregnancy tracking application built specifically for mothers carrying multiples. We take your privacy seriously — especially because you're trusting us with sensitive health information during one of the most important seasons of your life.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. Please read it carefully. By using the Duelle app, you agree to the terms described here.
01 Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account and use Duelle, you may provide:
- Your name and email address (for authentication)
- Your due date and pregnancy information
- Baby details including nicknames, chorionicity, and count
- Care team information you choose to enter
- Kick count logs for each baby
- Symptom logs, notes, and timestamps
- Appointment details and notes
- Growth measurements from ultrasounds (Premium feature)
- Medication names and dose logs (Premium feature)
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the app, we may automatically collect:
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Crash reports and error logs
- General usage patterns (which features you use, how often)
- Authentication tokens and session data
Payment Information
Duelle Premium subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. All billing is managed by Apple and subject to their privacy policy.
02 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Duelle app
- Sync your data across devices via your account
- Display personalized content based on your gestational week
- Process and manage your Premium subscription
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Improve the app's features and fix bugs
- Send transactional emails (such as password resets)
We do not use your health data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.
03 How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Firebase provides enterprise-grade security including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and audit logging.
Your account is protected by email/password authentication. We strongly recommend using a unique, strong password for your Duelle account.
Data is stored in the United States. If you are accessing the app from outside the US, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
04 Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use third-party services such as Google Firebase (data storage), RevenueCat (subscription management), and similar tools to operate the app. These providers only access your data to perform services on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Duelle, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Duelle is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or an in-app notice if this occurs.
05 Health Data
Duelle collects sensitive health-related information including pregnancy details, kick counts, symptoms, and medication logs. This information is used solely to provide the app's features to you.
Duelle is an educational and tracking tool only. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your qualified healthcare provider regarding any health concerns or decisions related to your pregnancy.
We do not share your health data with insurance companies, employers, or any third parties for commercial purposes.
06 Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access. You can view all data you have entered within the Duelle app at any time.
- Correction. You can edit or update your information within the app settings.
- Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at hello@duelle.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
- Export. If you'd like a copy of your data, contact us and we will do our best to provide it in a readable format.
- Opt-out of communications. You can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time using the link in any email we send.
07 Children's Privacy
Duelle is intended for use by adults (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe we may have collected data from a child, please contact us at hello@duelle.app.
08 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.
09 Third-Party Services
Duelle uses the following key third-party services:
- Google Firebase / Firestore — data storage and authentication
- RevenueCat — subscription and premium access management
- Apple App Store — app distribution and payment processing
Each of these providers has their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of Duelle after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
